The promising Sheridan Morias led his First Technology Honda team-mates to the team's first overall win and podium domination in Saturday's Superbike action at Scribante.

In rounds 17 and 18 of the national championship, held at the East London circuit this weekend, Hudson Kennaugh, who has already claimed this season's title, had a predictable win on his Suzuki in the first race.

Honda riders Shaun Whyte and Arushen Moodley finished second and third while Greg Dreyer on his Yamaha displayed one of his best performances this year by finishing fourth.

In the second race, Kennaugh immediately stormed to the start of the field but was slowed down after running over some debris on the track and suffering a slow rear-wheel puncture. After being thrown off his Suzuki in a hairpin, Kennaugh remounted and finished in eventual sixteenth position.

He was overtaken by the Morias two laps after his puncture. An elated Morias went on to lead team-mates Whyte and Moodley to Honda's first one-two-three finish.

Trevor Crookes, Stewart MacLeod and Greg Dreyer finished in fourth, fifth and sixth positions. Robert Cragg finished seventh on his Kawasaki, while Mike Dickenson and Noel Haarhof held the eighth and ninth positions.

The day's biggest crash was seen in the 600 cm3 Supersport category when Clinton Sellers went off the circuit at about 140 km/h. He slammed into the tyre barrier and lay unconscious as his Suzuki caught fire. Luckily, his injuries were limited to a few scrapes and a headache.
