Images of what’s purported to be the upcoming BMW 4 Series Convertible have hit the ‘net ahead of the car’s launch in 2014.

The images were posted online by a BMW blog site were reportedly scanned from a brochure. By and large, the images look legit and give us a good idea of how the new drop top will look with its lid stowed. The car also wears an optional bicycle rack on its tail.

The BMW 4 Series Convertible engine line-up is expected to largely mirror that of the recently launched Coupé; this could include a 2,0-litre turbopetrol (180 kW/350 N.m) from the 428i, a 2,0-litre turbodiesel (135 kW/380 N.m) and possibly a range-topping 435i Convertible with a 3,0-litre, straight-six, turbopetrol developing 225 kW/400 N.m.

The BMW 4 Series Convertible will probably go on sale towards the middle of 2014 and will wear a price premium over its fixed-roof sibling.
