Aston Martin's fastest production model yet has been unveiled at the Paris Show. With power now up to 388 kW, the iconic Vanquish S moves up to a new level.

Wowing the Parisian crowd, this British legend has a maximum speed hovering at the 320 km/h mark. The 6,0-litre V12 engine produces 577 N.m of torque at 5 800 r/min to go along with its 388 kW at 7 000 r/min.

Engine adjustments include new cylinder heads with fully machined inlet ports and combustion chambers to improve airflow, revised engine mapping and new fuel injectors.

Changes have been made to the Vanquish S's body with the addition of a more rounded and open grille, and a splitter for high-speed stability. At the rear, the bootlid has been redesigned to reduce lift and improve stability.

Revised steering geometry provides responses that are 20 per cent quicker, allowing more precise driver input and more accurate feedback from the chassis.

The Sports Dynamics suspension, steering and braking package is now standard on the Vanquish S. This includes stiffer springs, reducing the height by 5 mm, and dampers and shorter steering arms.

Detailed changes have been made to the inside; the leather-trimmed dashboard now more closely resembles that of the DB-9 and features a new glass starter button.
