The driver of a black Audi A6 has been arrested in Mpumalanga after being clocked speeding at 210 km/h on the N4.

According to the Lowvelder, the 37-year-old male was nabbed on the N4 toll route near Alkmaar. He was taken to the Nelspruit police station where he was expected to be charged with reckless and negligent driving.

Based on an image posted by the publication, the A6 sedan in question was a fourth-generation A6 in 3,0 TDI form.

Moeti Mmusi, spokesperson for the Mpumalanga department of safety, security and liaison, said the speedster would face the law.

“We do not condone excessive speeding because most of the crashes on our roads are attributable to excessive speeding. We consider his behaviour very irresponsible and he will be appearing in court very soon,” said Mmusi.
