The BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo has been pulled from the German firm’s line-up in South Africa as part of the local arm’s “ongoing model rationalisation”.

Before being omitted from BMW SA’s latest price bulletin, the 6 Series Gran Turismo range had comprised two derivatives. The 195 kW 630d GT had been priced at R1 127 316 while the 250 kW 640i xDrive GT had come in at R1 168 188.

“As part of our ongoing model rationalisation, we have decided to no longer offer the BMW 6 Series GT in South Africa,” a spokesperson for BMW Group SA confirmed to CARmag.co.za.

Revealed in June 2017 as a replacement for the 5 Series Gran Turismo, the 6 Series GT went on sale in South Africa in November of that year.
