Suzuki Auto South Africa has recorded its best-ever month in terms of sales in October 2019, registering 1 629 vehicles.

That’s 48 units more than its previous best effort, which came as recently as August 2019.

Some 1 581 units came in the passenger vehicle segment, with the Swift leading the way with 678 registrations. The brand also enjoyed useful contributions from the Ertiga (166), Jimny (143), Ignis (141), Vitara (122) and Celerio (112).

“We are truly thankful for the success that we have experienced in the past few months. The rapid growth in sales is the product of many years of steady investment in our product line and dealer network,” said André Venter, divisional manager for sales and marketing at Suzuki Auto SA.

Venter added the local arm of the Japanese firm had managed to “secure a steady supply of vehicles from its many international factories”. This meant customer orders could be met “more rapidly”.
