Toyota South Africa has announced the upgrading of the infotainment systems fitted to all of its Fortuner derivatives.

The 2,7 VVTi and 2,4 GD-6 variants now feature the touchscreen system previously employed by the 2,8 GD-6 derivatives. This arrangement includes a USB port, Bluetooth functionality and a CD player, plus a reversing camera.

The flagship 2,8 GD-6 and 4,0-litre V6 variants, meanwhile, benefit from an upgrade to the audio-visual navigation system, which incorporates satellite navigation and a DVD player.

As before, the local line-up comprises nine derivatives, now priced from R465 900 to R697 900.

In October 2017, Toyota South Africa Motors expanded its local Fortuner range with the addition of a new derivative, combining its 2,4-litre turbodiesel engine with four-wheel drive for the first time, while also adding some safety kit and new equipment to other variants.
