Jaguar has revealed the new XF Chequered Flag special edition model as part of the latest updates to its XF sedan range, confirming it will launch in South Africa in the second quarter of 2019.

Much like the F-Type derivative unveiled in 2018, this special XF will come fitted with a number of unique details and some extra standard equipment.

The Chequered Flag edition boasts unique badging on the side vents, a sportier front bumper, body-coloured side sills, a boot spoiler and 18-inch "Chalice" alloy wheels finished in gloss-black. The special edition model can be specified in Yulong White, Santorini Black or Eiger Grey paint.

Inside the XF Chequered Flag edition you’ll find branded treadplates, a "Dark Hex" aluminium instrument panel and R-Sport leather upholstery with black or red stitching. Standard features include navigation with live traffic updates, a 12,3-inch digital gauge cluster and keyless entry.

The Chequered Flag edition will be available with the 184 kW and 221 kW turbocharged 2,0-litre four-cylinder petrol engines or the 132 kW 2,0-litre four-cylinder turbodiesel.

As for updates to the rest of the range, the XF will now feature Android Auto and Apple Car Play as standard thanks to a new smartphone pack.
