Lamborghini has taken the wraps off the Huracán Evo, with the facelifted V10-powered model gaining Performante power and what the Italian firm terms “next-generation vehicle dynamic control and aerodynamics”.
The Huracán Evo draws its urge from the same naturally aspirated 5,2-litre V10 used by the Huracán Performante, churning out 470 kW at 8 000 r/min and 600 N.m at 6 500 r/min. The ten-cylinder unit features titanium intake valves and a lightweight exhaust system.
Lamborghini says the Huracán Evo has a dry weight of 1 422 kg, which helps its achieve a claimed zero to 100 km/h time of 2,9 seconds (and a 0-200 km/h sprint of 9,0 seconds). Top speed, meanwhile, comes in at “more than 325 km/h”.
The Huracán Evo also gains rear-wheel steering and a torque vectoring system working on all four wheels, as well as “Lamborghini Dinamica Veicolo Integrata”. The latter is essentially a central processing unit that the firm says “controls every aspect of the car’s dynamic behaviour, fully integrating all of the car’s dynamic systems and set-up to anticipate the next move and needs of the driver, interpreting this into perfect driving dynamics”.
Lamborghini furthermore says the vehicle’s set of accelerators and gyroscope sensors has been enhanced, now monitoring lateral, longitudinal and vertical accelerations, as well as roll, pitch and yaw rate, with “improved precision”.
The automaker says its “new advanced traction control system” now allows traction to be directed to a single wheel as required. The steering system, meanwhile, has been updated to provide “higher responsiveness in corners while requiring the lowest steering angles”.
And in terms of external appearance? Well, you may well notice the new front bumper as well as the enlarged air intakes. From the side, you’ll see the new alloy wheel design (pictured here in 20-inch guise) as well as the new side air intakes. At the rear, meanwhile, the twin outlets of the new sports exhaust system are positioned higher in the bumper, while a new slotted spoiler provides “enhanced air flow”.
Inside, there’s a new 8,4-inch HMI capacitive touchscreen sited in the centre console just above the start button. An optional dual-camera telemetry system is also offered via the touchscreen, allowing what Lamborghini describes as “advanced telemetry recording and analysis”.
