In celebration of the Land Rover Defender, the Chelsea Truck Company has unveiled its Defender XS 90 Wide Track. The upgraded Defender in question makes use of a 2,2-litre turbo diesel mill with many of the upgrades focusing on interior and exterior additions rather than performance.

A revised front bumper incorporated integrated LED foglights and sump guard, while an "X-Lander" front grille and added bonnet vents complete the ominous front-end look. Matte-black 20-inch Mondial wheels are wrapped in 275/55 Cooper Tyres rubber, covering painted brake calipers.

For the interior, however, it sees a dash of luxury added to the otherwise hard-wearing Defender cabin. Quilted black leather makes its way onto the bucket seats, door panels and knee protectors.

This particular model is estimated to cost around R1,2-million.
