Texas-based tuner Hennessey Performance has revealed the latest model to receive its Heritage Edition upgrade, the Ford F-150 pick-up.

This is the second Heritage Edition model the American tuner has released, with the Mustang GT being the previous derivative bearing the Ford GT '67 Heritage Edition livery.

However, this F-150 by Hennessey is even more powerful than the 482 kW GT supercar. To achieve this, Hennessey has fitted the 5,0-litre V8 powerplant with a 2,9-litre supercharger. This model now produces a whopping 565 kW, which is almost double the original output of 295 kW.

Increased boost pressure, plus upgrades to items such as the fuel injectors and air-to-water intercooler, are part of the package. A new stainless steel exhaust system has been fitted, too.

This bakkie is available in two kits, the first providing a sporty feel and the second a more hardcore off-road persona.

The Sport Kit includes 22-inch wheels, performance tyres, Brembo brakes and sway bars. This version rides lower to the ground, too.

The F-150 equipped with the Off-Road kit, meanwhile, is 76 mm higher than the standard pick-up and features a front suspension levelling kit and 20-inch wheels wrapped in Toyo off-road tyres. Additional LED lighting up front is also included in this package.
