Following the success of the Ford F-150 Raptor-based Hennessey VelociRaptor 6x6, renowned Texan tuner Hennessey has worked its magic on the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado Trail Boss Z71.

This already competent bakkie features a 6,2-litre V8 from the factory, but the Hennessey upgrade throws 2,9-litre HPE700 supercharger system, producing 7 psi of boost, into the mix.

Along with the inclusion of a stainless steel exhaust system, the Goliath 6x6 produces 525 kW at 6 200 r/min and 915 N.m at 4 200 r/min. Those hankering for even more power can opt for a further upgrade that frees up an immense 602 kW. The obligatory 0-100 km/h sprint is expected to be around the 4,5-second mark.

The 6x6 conversion includes a staggering 20,3 cm lift in ground clearance, 37-inch off-road tyres and LED lights. Production will be limited to just 24 units and will be made available for export to international markets.

The price? Well, considering the current dollar-to-rand exchange rate, it'd cost the equivalent of R5,3-million.
