The current Mercedes-AMG SL63 has been in production for quite some time now and still employs the brand's M157 twin-turbo 5,5-litre V8. To breathe some fresh life into the roadster, the folks over at G-Power have performed a spot of under-bonnet tinkering.

The V8 gets an increase in power by 158 kW and 200 N.m of torque, taking its total outputs to 588 kW and a whopping 1 100 N.m. This, says the tuner, translates to a zero-to-100 km/h time of just 3,5 seconds and a top speed of 340 km/h.

Additional power was drawn from the V8 by means of a software update, the fitment of a stainless steel exhaust system (including new downpipes and a sports catalytic converter) and the adoption of a pair of modified turbochargers.

Visually, the SL63 has been left largely untouched, although it does gain a set of new 21-inch Hurricane RR aluminium forged wheels with 265/30 ZR21 front and 295/30 ZR21 rear tyres.
