With SEMA taking place in Las Vegas early next month, Hyundai is taking the opportunity to showcase three very special Tucsons to celebrate the revival of the name. Each of these Tucsons have been designed in collaboration with specialised customisation houses.

Rockstar Performance
Rockstar Performance Garage is an energy drink brand that has evolved into an off-road tuning house for the likes of Jeep and Chevrolet. Hyundai has given them a go with the Tucson and the result is a very roughed and aggressive one-off CUV. Bumpers and side-skirts are more robust and a nifty set of LED lights have been added to the roofline.

Black tinted windows and 17-inch KMC XD Series "Bully" off-road wheels aid this Tucson's intimidating appearance while the 32-inch Mickey Thompson MTZ P3 tires will provide some necessary off-road dynamics. To further add to this dynamic nature, the Tucson will feature an adjustable suspension that adds six-inches to the ride height.

This Tucson will also feature more power thanks to the 1,6-litre four-cylinder turbopetrol engine that has been equipped with a custom air intake and Magnaflow exhaust attached to a six-speed, dual-clutch transmission and a four-wheel drive system.

Bisimoto Engineering
Extreme high performance tuners Bisimoto were given the Tucson to provide it with an excessive 522 kW of power thanks to the revised 2,4-litre turbocharged engine. The standard turbo has been swapped out with a Turbonetics BTX-6465 billet. A new camshaft, high-performance fuel injectors and NGK Iridium spark plugs, new fuel rails, a custom exhaust system and an Infinity 6 ECU among other things have been added to the mix to create this crazy crossover.

In terms of aesthetics the Tucson has been given a new Audi like grille, air suspension and a set of 19-inch fifteen52 TARMAC-style wheels. A racing spirit can be found in the interior thanks to the Buddy Club racing seat, a Racepak IQ3 digital dash and a four-point roll cage.

John Pangilinan
Californian blogger and and automobile designer John Pangilinan has provided several customised designs for Hyundai including the Veloster and the Genesis. With the Tucson he has created an excursion biased CUV and fittingly labeled it the Adventuremobile.

This Tucson is aimed at those who thrive in the outdoors. The army green exterior, Aries bull bar and sidesteps give the Tucson more of an adventurous look while the 1,5-inch suspension lift, LED light bar and Rays Gram Lights 57DR wheels provide it with the roughed capabilities it needs, but the Treeline Tamarack roof-top tent and Goal Zero solar panels are what makes this Tucson a true Adventuremobile.

Inside the cabin the adventure apparently continues thanks to the Katzkin leather seats, army green seatbelts, trunk vault and a BP Auto sound system. Although no performance specs are available we do know that the Tucson Adventuremobile will come equipped with an AEM air intake, a Magnaflow ecsonxhaust and Wilwood brakes with army green calipers.

With these just being design showcases for SEMA it is unlikely that these three models will see the mainstream market but expect more information and images to be released at Las Vegas next month.
