Posaidon has created yet another extreme tuning kit for the Mercedes-AMG G63, adding a huge increase in power and some revisions to the chassis.

Using the twin-turbo 4,0-litre V8 as a base, Posaidon has installed a pair of performance turbochargers together with intake and cooling revisions. Furthermore, the cylinder heads have been equipped with expanded and flow-optomised intake and exhaust ports. Finally, sourcing juice from a tank installed to the floor of the G63 is a water-and-methanol injection system which allows for significantly increased boost pressure. Rounding off these modifications are software adaptations for the engine and transmission control units.

The result of these changes is, says the tuner, staggering peak outputs of 691 kW and 1 278 N.m of torque (up from the standard 430 kW and 850 N.m figures), which apparently allows the G63 to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in a mere 3,6 seconds. The top speed has been limited to 280 km/h in the interests of safety.

To balance this impressive performance, Posaidon has also upgraded the braking system, fitting a set of 420 mm front and 360 mm rear carbon-ceramic discs with six-piston front and four-piston rear callipers. This braking system is 40 percent lighter than the standard one, says the tuner.

Visual updates include a carbon bonnet attachment (which improves air flow into the engine bay), a rear wing and custom tailpipes ahead of each rear wheel.
