Audi’s largest sports saloon, the S8, has been given some added grunt from the folks over at ABT Sportsline. The power hike is joined by some mild cosmetic enhancements, including a fresh set of wheels.

A twin-turbo 4,0-litre V8 (with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system) powers the standard version of Ingolstadt’s big saloon, delivering 420 kW and 800 N.m of torque to all four corners. ABT, however, has increased these peak outputs to 515 kW and 880 N.m.

This, says ABT, provides the S8 with an improved 0-100 km/h time of 3,4 seconds. Ceramic brakes and an increased top speed of 270 km/h are optional.

In addition, customers can select a subtle carbon-fibre rear spoiler and 20- or 21-inch GR or FR ABT design alloy wheels for a more distinctive look. Custom items for the cabin include an ABT-branded start-stop switch cap and gearshift cover.
