ABT Sportsline has revealed a special tuning package for the new Audi RS7 Sportback, adding more power and a comprehensive aerodynamic rework.

The Ingolstadt-based firm's twin-turbo 4,0-litre V8 has had its peak outputs increased from 441 kW and 800 N.m of torque to 544 kW and 920 N.m by means of the ABT Power R performance upgrade. This comprises the tuning company's engine control unit, uprated turbochargers and a stronger intercooler. A top speed of 320 km/h can specified for an additional cost.

The upgraded engine in the so-called "RS7-R" is joined by ABT’s revised exhaust setup, which includes a new rear silencer, sports catalytic converter and 102 mm carbon-fibre surrounds for the quad pipes. Height adjustable springs and anti-roll bars are also added, with the chassis further enhanced by a set of high-performance 22-inch HR22 alloy wheels wrapped in 285/30 Michelin tyres.

Visual highlights include a carbon-fibre body kit which comprises a front lip with aerodynamic blades and flics; a more aggressive grille; new mirror caps and side skirts; fresh wheelhouse ventilation; and a rear bumper with a more prominent diffuser and spoiler.

To personalise the cabin, the RS7-R makes use of an ABT-branded carbon-leather combination steering wheel, reupholstered seats, ABT entrance lights, custom floor mats and a branded start-stop button, shift knob cover and dashboard inlay.

This custom package will be limited to 125 units, each costing €69 900 (that's about R1,4-million) ... which does not include the RS7 donor car. A unique numerical designation for the car can be found on the door sill, front fender and arm rest.
