This mid-engined, 'Porsche Cayman fighting' sportscar from Renault Alpine has been teased to death since the Vision Concept broke cover last year, but now we finally have some official images of the new A110.

The A110 sources its name from the original rally-fighter and retains most of the design cues that were seen on the concept. The only minor differences are the door handles, mirrors and wheel design. The production model also gains a few more creases in the doors.

Alpine will reveal the technical specs of the A110 in Geneva. Rumours around this car, however, have suggested that it will use a 185 kW turbocharged 1,8-litre engine.

A more powerful model is also rumoured, which is most likely to run against the Cayman. This is said to produce 224 kW.

The Premiere Edition pictured here will cost roughly R760 000 in France. Whether this car will even reach South Africa is a mystery at this point, but we will likely find out more next week.
