A new limited-edition Mercedes-Benz X-Class Edition 1 variant has been revealed, but it will be sold exclusively in Australia.

Based on the flagship V6-powered X350d Power double-cab derivative, the Edition 1 features various blacked-out exterior styling elements.

Indeed, the three-pointed star on the X350d’s nose has been darkened, along with the twin-louvre front grille, tailgate badging, exterior door handles, foglamp bezels, roof rails and elements of the bumpers.

The Stuttgart-based brand has furthermore added “Edition 1” badging along with stripes for the bonnet, side mirror-caps, side sills and tailgate. New 19-inch six-spoke alloys, tubular side steps, a sports bar and a tonneau cover have also been fitted, all finished in (you guessed it) black.

Inside, you’ll find branded floor mats as well as an “Edition 1” badge on the passenger side of the facia, while the load bed gains a protective liner.

Under the bonnet, the 3,0-litre V6 turbodiesel churns out an unchanged 190 kW and 550 N.m, directed to all four corners via a seven-speed automatic transmission.
