Ford Performance in North America has released three new off-road packages for its Ranger (that market doesn’t get the Ranger Raptor, after all). The new dealer-installed packages for the bakkie include three levels of hardware, software and graphics combinations.

All three kits feature an off-road levelling kit including Fox shocks with “optimised” Ford tuning, fresh 17-inch “Dyno Grey” wheels and “Ford Performance” graphics.

As a reminder, the US-spec Ranger is powered by the Blue Oval brand’s 2,3-litre EcoBoost engine, which directs its 201 kW and 420 N.m to all four corners via a ten-speed automatic transmission.

The Level 1 package includes the aforementioned off-road levelling kit, alloy wheels, Fox 2.0 Performance Series internal floating piston monotube front and rear shocks (tuned by Ford engineers) and graphics.

Level 2 adds power and torque increases (to 235 kW and 502 N.m), BF Goodrich KO2 265/70-17 tyres, a rigid off-road foglamp kit, blue tow hooks and a Ford Performance stainless steel license plate frame.

Finally, Level 3 throws in a rigid 40-inch LED lightbar kit, red tow hooks, ARB winch-capable front bumper, Ford Performance chase rack and a Ford Performance sports exhaust.

“Our goal is to inspire customers by giving them capabilities and styling options from the aftermarket brands they love,” said Eric Cin, global director for Ford Vehicle Personalisation.

“The three new Ford Performance Packs empower our adventure-loving Ranger customers to explore even further with even more freedom with the added off-roading capability right from the dealership.”
