Audi RS6 Avant owners annoyed by the fact they cannot keep up with their neighbour’s Bugatti Chiron can now add a hefty lump of power to their performance wagon.

Yes, thanks to MTM's division over in the United States, the German wagon (along with other Audi products that adopt this engine) has received serious upgrades to the engine, alongside adjustments to the exhaust and suspension systems.

Using the twin-turbo 4,0-litre V8 at the front, MTM has implemented a stage-four conversion in the form of revised intake and turbo inlets, an ECU optimisation, a software revision for the transmission (for improved launch control and shift points), a performance exhaust system by Milltek and an upgraded pair of turbochargers.

This increases the standard peak outputs of 441 kW and 800 N.m of torque to a whopping 736 kW and 1 249 N.m (almost as high as Wheelsandmore's effort).

For improved handling, MTM has fitted a height-adjustable spring kit, which can lower the front axle by five to 30 mm and the rear by 15 to 40 mm. Adding width to the track is a pair of 10, 15 or 20 mm spacers, depending on the customer’s preference.

Styling changes are limited to MTM’s branded decal pack and an Akropovič carbon-fibre rear diffuser.
