Chelsea Truck Company has turned its attention to the Jeep Wrangler, with this military-inspired makeover featuring refinements inside and out.

Most of the exterior panels of the CJ400-branded SUV remain untouched. But the UK-based company has added a four-slot Herringbone grille with exposed carbon and a gloss finish. The rest of the Wrangler is finished in a 3D-texture black military colour scheme. The brake callipers are painted silver while the rear features four 100 mm black ceramic tailpipes.

The upgraded Jeep has furthermore been fitted with LED Diamond headlamps and horizontal LED daytime running lights. A CTC fuel filler cap, bonnet vents and mudflaps add to the military theme, while a set of Cooper Discover AT/3 tyres wrapped round 20-inch Mondial retro alloy wheels suggest it'll be very capable off the beaten track.

In the cockpit, the CJ400 sports a set of front and rear seats that have been reupholstered in orange quilted leather, with the finish extended to the centre armrest and glove compartment, too. This is contrasted by pedals in machined aluminium and sill plates in stainless steel. For customers who really want to feel secure in their Jeep, Chelsea Truck Company can also fit it with bulletproof glass.

The Jeep CJ400 by Chelsea Truck Company is available for £59 999 (that's approximately R1,3-million) but parts are available individually for those who want a milder customisation.
