Mitsubishi has made drastic changes to its Mirage budget hatch. The updates include a new "Dynamic Shield" design front-end and a more user-friendly interior.

Revealed together with the Attrage sedan, the Mirage’s new lines grant it a wider, more stable stance with a horizontal flowing element that connects the LED headlamps via a sharp grille. The rear keeps things closer to the original design but adopts a more squared-off bumper effect with L-shaped signature LED lamps that stretch across the width of the car.

Completing the redesign is a new set of 15-inch alloy wheels and new "White Diamond" and "Sand Yellow" paintjobs.

The cabin gains a redesigned front armrest and soft-touch cloth. Carbon pattern trim adds a sporty touch. The updated Mirage also gains cloth/synthetic leather combination upholstery with contrast piping.

A naturally aspirated 1,2-litre three-cylinder engine delivering 58 kW and 100 N.m of torque is carried over from the outgoing model.
