ABT Sportsline recently revealed a hardcore tuning kit for the Audi RS7 Sportback, featuring more power and a distinctive body kit. Now it’s the RS6 Avant’s turn and it gets the same power increase.

The peak outputs of the Ingolstadt-based firm's twin-turbo 4,0-litre V8 have been increased from the stock 441 kW and 800 N.m of torque to a whopping 544 kW and 920 N.m thanks to the ABT Power R performance upgrade (as opposed to ABT's first effort, which stood at 515 kW). This gives the RS6 a claimed 0-100 km/h time of just 3,2 seconds, along with an optional top speed of 320 km/h.

ABT’s custom exhaust system comprises of a new rear silencer, sports catalytic converter and 102 mm carbon-fibre surrounds for the quad pipes, adding an even angrier aural personality. Improvements to the chassis consist of height-adjustable coilover springs and anti-roll bars accompanied by a set of 22-inch HR22 alloy wheels wrapped in 285/30 Michelin tyres.

A lip, blades and flics on the front bumper have also been added, along with a redesigned grille with an "RS6-R" logo. In profile, you'll notice the carbon-gloss mirror caps, chunkier side skirts, rear side blades and wheelhouse ventilation for the front and rear arches. The rear gains a spoiler with aero covers and a trim strip between the taillamps.

In the cockpit, the RS6-R has been fitted with a carbon-leather combination steering wheel while the seats and armrest have been reupholstered in premium leather. Also featured inside are custom floor mats, new door sills, a stop-start button, a shift knob cover and a fresh dashboard inlay.

Like the RS7-R, the newcomer is limited to 125 units, each costing €69 900 (roughly R1,4-million, excluding an RS6 donor car). Similarly, the unique numerical designation for the car is found on the door sill.
