The new Audi S7 Sportback is finally set to hit the market in South Africa and we’ve unearthed local pricing.

So, how much will the S7 set you back? Well, pricing will start at R1 500 500, with the S7 Sportback slotting in above the standard 250 kW/500 N.m A7 Sportback 55 TFSI (the latter currently priced at R1 298 000).

For the record, the S6 sedan is R99 000 less expensive than the new S7 Sportback, at R1 401 500.

While the S7 offered in Europe draws its urge from a 3,0-litre V6 turbodiesel engine, the SA-spec version will employ Audi’s familiar twin-turbo 2,9-litre V6 petrol powerplant, driving all four wheels. This TFSI unit’s peak outputs are likely to match those of the S6 (as well as those of the RS4 Avant and RS5 family), which makes 331 kW and 600 N.m.

Expect Audi South Africa to release more information about the new S7 Sportback’s specifications in the coming weeks.
