Images of the new Hyundai i20 have leaked online ahead of the official unveiling of the third-generation hatchback at the upcoming 2020 Geneva International Motor Show in early March.

Earlier in February, the Korean firm released a pair of teaser sketches confirming the new B-segment hatch would be the first Hyundai in Europe to carry the brand’s latest design language, which it dubs “sensuous sportiness”.

The leaked images show the i20 will be offered in two-tone guise (in some markets, at least), with the model in question finished in blue with a black roof. It furthermore features a set of large, dual-tone alloy wheels.

Up front, there’s a gaping grille sporting a honeycomb pattern as well as LED daytime running lights integrated into the headlamps. Round back, the tailgate gains plenty of black trim while the new taillamps are connected by what appears to be an LED strip.

Although Hyundai hasn’t yet revealed the cabin, it earlier said the facia would be characterised by "horizontal blades" that emphasise the width of the dashboard and neatly disguise the air vents. The i20’s cabin is furthermore expected to feature a new digital instrument cluster and a centrally sited display (each measuring 10,25 inches).

We’ll likely find out more about the new i20 in the days leading up to the show in Geneva. Of course, it's worth bearing in mind this new five-door hatchback is expected to eventually be offered in full-fat i20 N hot hatch guise...
