AC Schnitzer has already released an upgrade for the Toyota GR Supra so a similar kit for the closely related BMW Z4 M40i roadster was always going to happen.

This latest package includes similar parts added to the Supra, with some minor differences here and there.

For starters, the twin-scroll turbocharged 3,0-litre straight-six engine gets the same power output increase from 250 kW and 500 N.m of torque to 294 kW and 600 N.m. Accentuating the character of the engine is an AC Schnitzer rear silencer, which culminates in two exhaust tailpieces on each side of the car.

The Z4 also gets the same 25 mm lowering kit, while AC3 and AC1 20-inch forged alloy wheels are found in the catalogue as well.

The aero pack, though, is slightly different to that offered for the Supra. Pieces such as a front splitter, bonnet vents (with carbon inserts), side skirts and the two-piece rear spoiler are available to provide the Z4 with added downforce. In the cabin, custom updates include aluminium paddle shifters and sport pedals.
