Opel South Africa has launched an upgraded warranty for its three-strong Grandland X range, while also improving the standard features list on the mid-spec Enjoy 1,6T automatic derivative.

This variant now boasts a set of 18-inch alloy wheels (up from the previous 17-inch items), front foglamps, rear privacy glass and aluminium roof rails (the latter having previously been an option on this model).

In addition, a so-called "Plus Package" will be available for customers who want to add a panoramic sunroof, the SatNav 900 IntelliLink infotainment system and heating functons for the front leather seats and steering wheel. Pricing for the new model is unchanged at R478 950.

So, what about that improved warranty? Well, it now stretches five years or 150 000 km, up from the previous five-year/120 000 km arrangement. Interestingly, the service plan has also quietly been upgraded, from five years or 90 000 km to five years or 100 000 km.

Opel SA furthermore says all Opel vehicles sold during July and August 2019 will benefit from a five-years/150 000 km warranty and a five-year/100 000 km service plan.
