The facelifted Porsche Panamera has only just been revealed but we’ve already laid our hands on pricing for South Africa.

Interestingly, no Sport Turismo variants are listed yet, with the Zuffenhausen-based firm’s local website currently showing only six variants.

The range kicks off with the standard Panamera, which will be priced from R1 602 000 and powered by a twin-turbo 2,9-litre V6 petrol engine offering 243 kW and 450 N.m. The all-paw Panamera 4, meanwhile, kicks off at R1 701 000. The latter will also be offered in “Executive” guise (from R1 927 000), boasting an extended wheelbase.

Next up is the Panamera GTS, priced from R2 389 000 and employing a 4,0-litre V8 petrol engine worth 353 kW and 620 N.m.

Then there’s the new-to-the-range Panamera 4S E-Hybrid, which offers 412 kW and 750 N.m courtesy of a 2,9-litre V6, an electric motor and a 17,9 kWh battery. This variant starts at R2 529 000.

Finally, the Panamera Turbo S flagship will kick off at R3 253 000. Delivering a 463 kW and 820 N.m from its twin-turbo 4,0-litre V8 petrol engine, the Turbo S offers 59 kW and 50 N.m more than the previous Turbo-badged flagship. Porsche says that’s enough for a sprint from zero to 100 km/h in a mere 3,1 seconds and a top speed of 315 km/h.

Expect the first units to arrive locally early in 2021. Note the prices below include Porsche’s three-year Driveplan (upgrading to a five-year arrangement adds R50 000 in each instance).
