Land Rover South Africa says it has created a limited run of just 24 Range Rover Sport special-edition units, based on the HSE Dynamic Supercharged variant. Pricing? Well, things kick off at R1 992 500.

The special models each incorporate a “Black Pack”, which adds black lettering for the bonnet and tailgate, black grille mesh and inner grille surround, and black finishing blades on the fenders and bonnet vents. Exterior paint colour options are limited to Fuji White, Indus Silver and Firenze Red.

The upgrade furthermore includes 22-inch alloys finished in Gloss Black. The theme continues with a black roof, while the headliner comes in Ebony Morzine trim and the seats are upholstered in Ebony Winsor Leather. While the front pews are both heated and cooled, the rear bench offers a pair of eight-inch entertainment screens.

The special-edition Sport also gains the “Drive Pro Pack”, which includes blind spot assist, adaptive cruise control, high-speed emergency braking and lane keep assist. Configurable ambient interior lighting and a soft door close function are also part of the deal.

Power comes from the British firm’s familiar supercharged 5,0-litre V8, which offers an unchanged 386 kW and 625 N.m to all four corners via an eight-speed automatic transmission. The sprint from zero to 100 km/h takes a claimed 5,3 seconds while top speed is rated at 250 km/h.
