Jaguar South Africa has announced the official arrival of three Chequered Flag special-edition versions of its F-Pace.

As we reported back in June 2019 (when the British firm’s local arm first added the new variants to its website), each of the three employs a four-cylinder engine (sending drive to all four corners), with the 2,0-litre petrol engine offering 184 kW and 365 N.m for a sprint to 100 km/h in a claimed 7,0 seconds and a top speed of 217 km/h. Badged as the F-Pace 25t AWD Chequered Flag, this variant is now priced at R 1 131 525.

The other two variants use 2,0-litre turbodiesel engines, churning out 132 kW/430 N.m in the case of the F-Pace 20d AWD Chequered Flag and 177 kW/500 N.m in the case of the F-Pace 25d AWD Chequered Flag. Pricing here is R 1 032 904 and R 1 122 075, respectively.

As a reminder, the Chequered Flag special edition is based on the R-Sport model and gains a more aggressively styled front bumper and gloss-black detailing on the grille, door cladding, side vents and roof rails. Chequered Flag models are offered locally in Yulong White, Santorini Black or a new Eiger Grey colour.

Inside, you’ll find leather trim, mesh-aluminium detailing and “Chequered Flag” treadplates. Other standard features include ten-way electrically adjustable front seats, the Touch Pro Navigation pack, a Meridian sound system, the 12,3-inch driver display and the Touch Pro infotainment system.
