Back in June 2019, we published local pricing for the facelifted Mercedes-Benz GLC diesel variants (in both standard and so-called coupé body styles). Now, the local arm of the Stuttgart-based firm has released pricing for the petrol models, including the Mercedes-AMG GLC43.

Of course, we also recently unearthed just how much the refreshed Mercedes-AMG GLC63 S will cost you in South Africa.

Anyway, back to the newly added variants. In addition to the oil-burning GLC220d and GLC300d, Mercedes has introduced the GLC300, which employs a turbocharged 2,0-litre four-cylinder engine sending 190 kW and 370 N.m to all four wheels via a nine-speed automatic transmission (and also features a 48 V system with belt-driven starter-generator, feeding an electric motor capable of briefly adding 10 kW and 150 N.m to the mix).

In standard SUV form, the updated GLC300 will be priced from R855 450, while pricing for the GLC300 Coupé will start at R996 938.

And the Mercedes-AMG GLC43? Well, the standard body style comes in from R1 064 500, while the GLC43 Coupé starts at R1 251 800.

As a reminder, the twin-turbo 3,0-litre V6 engine used by 43-badged models now generates 287 kW, which is 17 kW more than before. Peak torque of 520 N.m, meanwhile, is available from 2 500 to 4 500 r/min, while the claimed 0-100 km/h time is 4,9 seconds, regardless of body style. Top speed is, of course, electronically limited to 250 km/h. You’ll likely also have noticed the refreshed GLC43 has gained the AMG-specific Panamericana grille.
