Roush Performance has revealed its latest kit for the Ford F-150 Raptor, handing the big American pick-up off-road-ready wheels, thicker tyres and an array of cosmetic updates inside and out.

The package includes 20-inch alloys, wrapped in large BF Goodrich all-terrain rubber, which the tuner says keeps this Raptor firmly planted when negotiating rough terrain; and nylon-based bead protection rings (red items are fitted as standard but black can be specified at no additional cost); and an Axle-Back exhaust with larger (5-inch) tips provides a roaring soundtrack.

A unique gauge cluster indicates what's going on under the hood. Roush is yet to announce whether performance upgrades will be made available for the twin-turbo 3,5-litre EcoBoost gas-burner, which already produce a staggering 336 kW and 691 N.m of torque.

Adding to this Roush's rugged exterior styling is a sport bar, finished in corrosion-resistant black paint, to which the firm's optional 850$ (R12 015,21, by our calculations) lighting package can be fitted.

The standard model's "Raptor" vinyls have been replaced with the Michigan-based company's items. The inside, however, still features the original embroidery, with the "Roush" namesake appplied to the headrests.

This kit will set you back some $13 000 (that's R183 763,15 in local currency) on top of the Raptor's $52 855 (R746 961,66). Of course, the Blue-Oval automaker's F-150 Raptor isn't available in South Africa but Ford Performance can offer you a Roush Ranger (we tested the RS3-spec model in the July 2018 issue) here.
