Think the Volkswagen Amarok V6 could do with some added off-road ability? Well, German tuner delta4x4 has released a new package for the double-cab bakkie, handing it a serious suspension lift kit.

Indeed, this “Beast” conversion sees the Amarok’s overall height hiked by around 250 mm, while also adding some 200 mm in width (the latter courtesy of wider wheels and fenders).

The German firm achieves this with a body lift kit (adding 100 mm of ground clearance) as well as a "suspension distance kit" comprising uprated springs and four Bilstein shock absorbers (adding an extra 40 mm).

The off-road-ready Amarok furthermore gains a set of "KlassikB" wheels (complete with “Icelandic-style” covers) wrapped in 35-inch Cooper rubber, adding some 100 mm to its height. Alloys shod in slightly smaller (33-inch) Yokohama tyres are also offered.

You’ll obviously also have noticed the Amarok’s upgraded front bumper, which plays host to a black nudge bar and some LED lamps, as well as the obligatory fender flares. In addition, there’s a sports bar over the load bay and yet more lighting on the roof.

From what we can tell, the 3,0-litre V6 turbodiesel engine under that black-and-red bonnet has been left unaltered...
