Volkswagen has revealed a new “One Million” special-edition model conceived to celebrate – you guessed it – the production of the one-millionth unit of the German firm's flagship SUV.

The new model features a unique “Sechura Beige” paint colour and the choice of two new styles of alloy wheels (either high-gloss polished 20-inch “Bogota” wheels or 21-inch “Suzuka” items in Adamantium Silver).

Darkened taillamps, sill panel trim (complete with “One Million” inscriptions) as well as a special badge on the B-pillar are also included. The wheelarch strips and the diffuser, meanwhile, are painted in gloss black. In addition, the special model can be upgraded with the R-Line Black Style exterior package, including exterior mirrors in “Reflection Silver”.

Inside, this special model gains Puglia leather seat-covers. The upper parts of the front pews and the insides of the doors are decorated with diamond stitching in “Amber Brown”, an effect repeated on the dash panel, steering wheel and gear lever. The vehicle key, meanwhile, is also covered in Puglia leather.

Volkswagen Slovakia’s site in Bratislava is the only assembly plant to produce the Touareg, with the first example rolling off the line in 2002.
