Peugeot has lifted the wraps off its all-new 208, featuring striking design cues, a redesigned interior and updated technology.

The exterior is defined by sharper headlights replete with Peugeot's "three-claw" daylight running lights and an updated (larger) chrome grille.

A gloss black strip (much like the item found on the 3008) connects the taillights which also incorporate the automaker's signature LEDs. A range of new paintwork finishes, including Vertigo Blue, Elixir Red and Faro Yellow (pictured) have been included in the brand's updated colour palette. The interior lighting features eight hues.

According to the Paris-based firm, all key technology inside the cabin have been designed to be easily accessible by the driver. Behind a less angular version of the brand's multifunction steering wheel sits Peugeot's 3D i-Cockpit and a configurable head-up display. A touchscreen infotainment system (7- or 10-inch, depending on model), includes 3D navigation and screen mirroring technologies.

The central section of the facia features a carbon finish. GT Line models, like the one here, are also fitted with mesh knit/Alcantara combination upholstery and 17-inch alloys.

Peugeot's Driver Assist has been added to the package, too, which includes adaptive cruise control (only on eight-speed auto derivatives), systems such as lane positioning and active lane keeping, park assist (also, only on eight-speed auto models), autonomous emergency braking and driver attention monitoring.

The new Peugeot 208 will be officially unveiled at the 2019 Geneva International Motor Show.
