Wagon lovers can now rejoice even more as the Volvo V60 has now been provided with an R-Design model to inject a bit of sportiness into its appearance while adding some extra kit as standard. More importantly, the V60 R-Design also gets a sportier suspension set up, with stiffer springs, more responsive dampers, thicker roll bars and a 12 mm drop in ride height.

As for the design, it doesn’t deviate too far from the standard trim, with highlights such as high-gloss black trim finishes, 18-inch alloy wheels, redesigned bumpers and LED front foglamps providing the V60 with some extra visual attitude.

Step inside the cabin and  sporty touches such as a black headlining, sports pedals, a sports leather steering wheel and gear level and R-Design tread plates are among the highlights. The driver and front passenger will also benefit from sports seats with partial leather upholstery, cushion extensions and lumbar support.

Among the R-Design's standard features are a nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system, dual climate control, a digital gauge cluster and a 10-speaker audio system. Volvo also provides an R-Design Pro option which bumps the wheel size up from 18- to 19-inches, tints the rear windows and gives the headlamps active cornering and adaptive shadow technology. Hands-free tailgate operation, ambient lighting and a heads-up display round out the Pro option.
