The folks over at Spanish publication km77 have put the new BMW M235i xDrive Gran Coupé through the dreaded Moose Test, with the little four-door failing to impress.
In the video below, the all-paw M235i xDrive – here wearing Bridgestone Turanza T005 rubber in 225/45 R18 size – is subjected to one of the toughest handling tests out there, designed to simulate an animal suddenly running in front of a moving vehicle.
As the publication points out, it has not seen the best results with these particular tyres in previous tests (the Volkswagen Golf 8 that km77 evaluated, for example, employed the same rubber).
Eventually, km77’s best successful effort with the BMW was at an entrance speed of just 68 km/h, which it described not nearly as “high as expected for a sportscar”.
