Yes, it’s time for another drag race. This time, CarWow has lined up the two fastest-accelerating models in Porsche’s current range. We are, of course, talking about the 911 Turbo S and the Taycan Turbo S.

As a reminder, the former employs 3,8-litre six-cylinder boxer engine sending 478 kW and 800 N.m to the rear axle. That’s enough, says the Zuffenhausen-based firm, for a sprint from standstill to three figures in just 2,7 seconds.

And the Taycan Turbo S? Well, the quickest version of Porsche’s first fully electric model has a permanently excited synchronous electric motor on each axle, fed by a 93,4 kWh battery. With up to 560 kW and a whopping 1 050 N.m on tap, the Taycan Turbo S will hit three figures in a claimed 2,8 seconds.
