Well, this is an interesting one. The folks over at CarWow have gathered four distinctly different all-wheel-drive vehicles (each one a long-termer) for an intriguing drag race.

 

The first contender is the Mercedes-AMG G63, which offers 430 kW from its twin-turbo 4,0-litre V8 engine. Next is BMW’s M340i xDrive – here in Touring guise – with its turbocharged 3,0-litre straight-six generating 275 kW (though in some markets that figure has quietly increased to 285 kW).

 

Then there’s the Audi RS Q3, which makes 294 kW from its turbocharged 2,5-litre five-cylinder unit. Finally, we have the Volkswagen T-Roc R, powered by the Wolfsburg-based firm’s familiar 221 kW turbocharged 2,0-litre four-pot.
