Yes, it's another CarWow drag race. This time, the BMW M2 CS takes on the Mercedes-AMG A45 S ... and a tuned Audi RS3 Sportback.

As a reminder, the M2 CS employs a turbocharged 3,0-litre inline six-cylinder engine sending 331 kW (yes, the same peak power of the outgoing M4 Competition) to the rear wheels. That’s enough, says BMW, for a sprint from zero to 100 km/h in 4,0 seconds in the case of the dual-clutch model.

The A45 S, meanwhile, makes use of a turbocharged 2,0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine offering 310 kW to all four wheels via an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. It’ll complete the obligatory sprint in a claimed 3,9 seconds.

With a new RS3 Sportback on the horizon, CarWow has chosen to add a tuned version of the outgoing all-paw hot hatch to this race, apparently making the same sort of power as the M2 CS, plus a whopping 750 N.m.

Watch the video above to see the three contenders take part in a drag battle, a couple of races from a rolling start and a brake test…
