Yes, the BMW M5 Competition sedan (R2 062 433) lines up against the M8 Competition coupé (R3 040 054).
Of course, the Bavarian bahnstormers share a powertrain in the form of a twin-turbo 4,4-litre V8 delivering 460 kW and 750 N.m to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission.
BMW claims the sedan will hit 100 km/h from standstill in 3,3 seconds, while the coupé is one-tenth faster to the mark.
