In a bid to see which performance saloon is the quickest, the folks over at Lovecars in the UK have pitted a Mercedes-AMG GT63 against a Tesla Model S P100D, which now sports Ludicrous+ mode, in a drag race.

As a reminder, the AMG GT63 employs a 4,0-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine, sending 430 kW and 800 N.m of torque (40 kW and 100 N.m less than its S-badged sibling) to all four wheels via nine-speed automatic transmission. The P100D’s electric powertrain, on the other hand, is good for 451 kW and 931 N.m. As the Testa is an electric vehicle, torque is instantly available.
