Well, this is an interesting one. The folks over at CarWow have lined up the Volkswagen Amarok V6 for a drag race against the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, Land Rover Discovery and Jeep Wrangler.

Thing is, the Amarok is easily the most powerful of the bunch thanks to its 3,0-litre V6 heart (and it offers the most torque, too), so it heads into proceedings with quite an advantage.

The Discovery used in the race draws its urge from a 2,0-litre turbodiesel engine, while the Prado employs a 2,8-litre oil-burner (an engine option to set join the SA range late in 2020). The Wrangler Rubicon, meanwhile, uses a 2,2-litre turbodiesel.
