Audi has released three teaser sketches of its upcoming Q4 e-tron concept, which is scheduled to debut at the Geneva International Motor Show in March 2019.

The show car will serve to provide a “glimpse of the next stage of Audi electric mobility”, according to the automaker. It follows the reveal of the production e-tron crossover in September and unveiling of the e-tron GT concept at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November 2018.

The Ingolstadt-based firm says the production version of the Q4 e-tron concept will be presented either in late 2020 or early in 2021. It’s not yet clear when the German brand plans to reveal the conventional (non-electric) Q4, which will logically slot in neatly between the new Q3 and the Q5.

The sketches of the electric concept suggest the vehicle will feature a dramatically sloping roofline, Audi’s Matrix LED headlamps and a wide grille (with illuminated “e-tron” lettering positioned below the latter). Expect the impossibly large alloys to be toned down on the production model.

The image depicting the cabin shows a digital instrument cluster ahead of the driver as well as a wide touchscreen arrangement sited above the centre console and angled towards the driver.
