Think the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S is a little, er, underpowered? If so, you’re probably in the minority but G-Power seems to share your sentiments, releasing a 588 kW tuning package for Affalterbach’s big swoopy four-door sedan.

The kit includes an upgraded exhaust system and a fresh set of alloy wheels.

Using AMG’s twin-turbo 4,0-litre V8 as a base, G-Power has fitted performance software, a new pair of turbochargers and sports air filters to push the peak outputs from the standard 470 kW and 900 N.m of torque to 588 kW and 1 000 N.m. The upgrades are joined by downpipes and a stainless-steel exhaust for added aural character.

Cosmetic changes to the exterior are seemingly limited to the fitment of Hurricane RR forged alloy wheels, offered in 20- or 21-inch sizes (a different, multi-spoke design is currently under development, too).

At the customer’s request, G-Power says it can reupholster the cabin in a mix of premium leather and Alcantara. Branded carpets and two carbon sports steering wheel designs are also available.
