Another month, another modified BMW from the folks at AC Schnitzer (remember that X3 M Competition from January?). The latest model to receive the AC Schnitzer treatment is the new M135i xDrive.

Seen here dressed in Misano Blue metallic, the M135i sports subtle upgrades in the shape of a roof-mounted spoiler aft as well as protective foil for the rear skirts. Mechanical upgrades include an in-house developed suspension kit, dropping the all-wheel-drive hot hatch by between 25 and 35 mm.

Now riding lower to the ground, the M135i xDrive is equipped with lightweight 19-inch alloys, wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport rubber size 225/35 all round. The twin exhaust pipes can be specified in either a chrome or black hue.

The cabin also features revised items. The paddle shifters, pedals and key holder have all been finished in aluminium.

In terms of performance, no upgrades have been made under the halo 1 Series’ bonnet. As a reminder, the M135i xDrive, which took part in Performance Shootout 2020 (watch it go toe-to-toe with the Mercedes-AMG A35 4Matic in a drag race at Aldo Scribante circuit here), employs a 2,0-litre four-pot. The turbocharged mill, as standard, sends 225 kW and 450 N.m of torque to all four corners via an eight-speed automatic transmission.
