McLaren’s new mid-engined GT has been handed a range of custom parts from the folks over at Novitec.

The modest yet comprehensive upgrade includes an increase in power, suspension alterations and minor visual alterations.

Squeezing more potential out of the twin-turbo 4,0-litre V8 are three tuning packages, with the most extreme producing 520 kW and 714 N.m of torque, up from the standard outputs of 456 kW and 630 N.m. This is achieved by means of Novitec’s N-Tronic kit, a power optimised exhaust system and a catalyst-replacement pipe. The result is a 0-100 km/h sprint in a claimed 3,0 seconds and a top speed of 333 km/h.

Visual enhancements are fairly subtle but Novitec says all components were tested in a wind tunnel for aerodynamic efficiency. The kit consists of a front spoiler lip, side panels, air intake side walls, a rear spoiler and side-mirror covers, all fashioned from carbon-fibre.

What else? Well, Novitec has fitted 20-inch front and 21-inch rear MC3 forged alloy wheels (with a central lock) from Vossen. There's also a sports spring set, which lowers the ride by 25 mm, and aluminium spacers that widen the front track by 22 mm and rear by 30 mm.

Alterations can be made to the cabin as per customer request. As Novitec puts it, these include an "endless" variety of colour options.
