Chery has released its updated Tiggo SUV. The updates include the exterior, standard specification as well as an updated engine.

It is quite evident that the nose has been redesigned, while the rear seems slightly more modern than the model it replaces. All body parts are also colour coded. The exterior updates are rounded off by the addition of 17-inch alloy wheels, replacing the previous 16-inch items. The front of the car also benefits from new daytime-running lights.

The updated 1,6-litre Acteco, four-cylinder petrol engine, now develops 93 kW at 6 150 r/min and 160 N.m at 3 900 r/min.

Standard features include leather seats, Bluetooth, a multifunction steering wheel, park distance control and hill start assist. In terms of safety, the Tiggo offers ESP, two airbags and ABS with EBD.

The Tiggo comes with a 3-year/75 000 km service plan and a 5-year/120 000 km warranty and roadside assistance.

The Chery Tiggo is priced from R229 900.
