The new Suzuki Jimny is scheduled to launch in South Africa in November 2018, and the brand’s website suggests eight exterior colours will be offered locally.

According to the website, three dual-colour combinations will be available, along with five basic hues (the outgoing model, for the sake of comparison, is offered in seven fairly restrained colours, all single-tone).

The three two-tone combinations will be the "Kinetic Yellow" arrangement used in the majority of the early press material, along with “Chiffon Ivory Metallic" and “Brisk Blue Metallic”, each combined with a "Bluish Black Pearl" roof.

The other (single-tone) hues offered in South Africa will be Jungle Green, Bluish Black Pearl, Silky Silver Metallic, Medium Grey and Superior White.

Suzuki Auto SA’s website also confirms that the naturally aspirated 1,5-litre four-cylinder K15B engine will be the powerplant of choice locally, delivering 75 kW and 130 N.m (up from the 63 kW and 110 N.m offered by the outgoing 1,3-litre) to all four wheels via either a five-speed manual gearbox or four-speed automatic transmission.

Local pricing, of course, has yet to be revealed...
